PURPOSE

1. RS232/PLI isolation converter is designed to convert physical levels logical signals of the RS232 interface in the physical levels of the logical signals of the PLI interface (Power Line Interface).
2. The converter is used to organize the exchange of digital information between a PC and industrial controllers, communicating with the converter via the PLI interface.
3. The PLI interface is galvanically isolated from the voltage of the power supply and the RS232 interface.
4. The isolated RS232/PLI interface converter is not a measuring instrument.
5. Operation of the RS232/PLI interface converter isolating is allowed at ambient temperature from minus 40 to plus 60 °С.TECHNICAL DETAILS1. RS232/PLI isolating interface converter supports operation at baud rate of 19200 bps.
2. The transmission delay of the introduced signals by the transducer is no more than 150 ms.
3. The converter is powered from a DC voltage source . . . – 12 ±1.2 V.
Converter power parameters:
– own consumption current . . . – no more than 50 mA.
Power Line interface line:
– output voltage – from 11 to 13 V;
– output current limitation . . . – up to 50 mA.
4. Degree of protection of the transducer housing against environmental influences . . . – IP30.
5. Interface converter RS232/PLI isolating provides:
– short circuit protection for all interface outputs;
– protection against supply voltage reverse polarity.
6. The overall dimensions of the RS232/PLI insulating interface converter do not exceed 91 x 70 x 60 mm.
7. The mass of the converter does not exceed – 0.1 kg.
8. The service life of the RS232/PLI isolation converter is 12 years.
INSTALLATION & SERVICE
1. Isolating RS232/PLI interface converter is made in a plastic case with brackets for mounting on a DIN rail. In this case, the converter must be protected from direct exposure to atmospheric precipitation.
2. The company provides warranty service for the converter within 24 months and service during the entire service life.
